Teodoro E. Reyes Sr. (Ted) resident of Martindale, Texas, went to be with the lord peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 87.  He was born on December 27, 1930 in Fentress to Marcelino and Amalia (Espinoza) Reyes.  Ted was known for his love of playing pool and participating in tournaments as well as spending time with his family and tending to his many animals.  You never saw him without his cowboy hat and boots and well known as a “sharp dressed man”.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents; Marcelino & Amelia Reyes; sons, Danny and Joey Peralez; sisters, Jesusa Reyes, Aurora Reyes and Maria Perez; brothers, Tomas Reyes and Roberto Reyes

Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55yrs.,Susie Reyes; daughters, Sylvia Harley and husband Lewis of Katy, Nancy Coleman and husband Bobby of Austin, Patty Rico and husband Roberto of Martindale, Kellie R. Hardge of Matindale, Sandra Reyes of Dale, Jocelyn Reyes and Jay Galvan of Martindale; sons, Teddy Reyes and wife Missy of Elgin, Michael Reyes and wife Linda of Martindale, and Richard Reyes and wife Lisa of New Braunfels; sisters, Paula Reyes of Martindale and Antonia Hernandez of Lockhart; brother, Angel Reyes and wife Fermina of Martindale; brother in law, Manuel Aguilar and was blessed with twenty nine grandchildren and forty eight great grandchildren and with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 7^th / 5:00pm-9:00pm followed with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm at the Los Angeles Funeral Home Chapel …300 Cheatham St. … San Marcos, Texas … Morning Visitation will begin at 8:30am on Thursday, February 8^th at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church … 312 Lockhart St. … Martindale, Texas … Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am … Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate.  Interment will follow with Full Military Honors at 11:15am in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.

His family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided to Ted by nurses, Erica Hurtado, Robin Porter, and John Kipplinger and Special thanks to Steven Villarreal for providing meals and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to San Marcos Rehab Center for all their TLC.
