Obituary of Ruby Concepcion Benitez

Our beloved Ruby Benitez, age 20, resident of Kyle was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Ruby was a kind and loving person.  The kind of person that enjoyed spending time with her family and taking the time to ask if everyone is ok.  while her days were dwindled down to mainly staying at home, she made the best out of them.  She quickly learned how to be a better cook and enjoyed cooking for the family.  Ruby was very strong in character and became an authority figure within the house, ensuring everyone did the right things.  A very loved and cared for soul.  Ruby will always be remembered and missed.  Ruby will live on through us and through her lovable baby boy Elijah, as we watch him grow.

She is survived by her loving son, Elijah Xaiden Abrego; mother, Maria Melendez; brothers, Cristian Perez & Kirsten, Jaciel Benitez, Pedro Huerta, Javier Coronado; sisters, Gabriela Coronado, and Naomi Coronado; grandmother, Magdalena Reyes and with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 4:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., at the Los Angeles Funeral Home on 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church….1100 Main St. … Buda, Texas.  Rev. Father David Leibham will officiate.  Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Community Cemetery in Uhland, Texas.
