Obituary of Maria Gamez

Our beloved Maria Gamez, age 84, resident of Martindale was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Maria is preceded in death by her loving husband of 22yrs., Gorgonio Gamez; daughters, Victoria Gamez and Deborah Gamez; son, Antonio Gamez; parents, Jose Manuel & Concepcion Hernandez; sisters, Josie Hernandez, Frances Rodriguez; and granddaughter, Rachael Martinez.

She is survived by her daughters, Juanita G. Martinez & husband Domingo, Ofelia Camacho, and Elena Gomez & husband Julian; sons, David Gamez & wife Dominga, Santiago “Jimmy” Gamez & wife Lisa, Jaime Gamez & Margarita Urrutia, and Simon Gamez; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and with numerous nieces, nephews, great and great nieces & nephews and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 1:00p.m.–4:00pm, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Los Angeles Funeral Home on 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas, Visitation will resume from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church … 312 Lockhart Street in Martindale, Texas with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Morning Visitation will be on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 8:30am- 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
