Obituary of Maria De La Cruz
Our beloved Maria Guadalupe De La Cruz, age 58, resident of Lockhart was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother: Minerva De Leon, and loving brother: Cristobal De Leon.
Maria was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She loved being all these roles and throughout the years became an authoritative figure in most roles. She was a wise woman and always knew what to say in every situation. She was a warm hearted, selfless, and spunky individul who tried to see the positive in most situations. But, nothing meant more to her than her family! taking care of and watching over her grandchildren meant so much to her. As a wife and mother she always worried about their well being, especially her most valuable loved ones being her husband and youngest child (Jason). Maria was strong in faith which she felt always helped her in life. When faced with trials and tribulations, she always tried to face them head on and did what she felt was right and what God placed in her heart to do. We thank the Lord for ginving her to us for as long as we had her ...."we love you!" Your spirit lives through us and you will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38yrs., Billy De La Cruz; sons, Jesus De La Cruz and wife Amber, Michael De La Cruz and wife Ivana, and Jason De La Cruz; daughter, Elizabeth Neel and husband Jonathan; father, Eriberto M. De Leon; brother, Heriberto “Bert” De Leon; sisters, Estella D. Esquivel, and Elva De Leon Sierra; grandchildren, 6; and with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
