Obituary of Odon G. Mercado

Our beloved Odon G. Mercado, age 89, resident of Buda was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Simon & Florentina Mercado; brothers, Nick Mercado, Simon Mercado, Pablo Mercado, and Victor Mercado; sisters, Tita Mercado, and Esperanza Estrada.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60yrs., Leanor Mercado; sons, Maximo “Max” Mercado, Mario Mercado, and Benny Mercado; daughters, Alicia Mondragon, Rosa Ramirez, Oralia Mondragon, Sylvia Hurtado, and Lupe Espinoza; sisters, Minga Gutierrez, and Gracia Patlan; grandchildren, 17; great grandchildren, 26; great great grandchildren, 6 and with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., at the Los Angeles Funeral Home on 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at St. John Catholic Church….624 E. Hopkins. … San Marcos, Texas.  Rev. Father Brion Zarsky will officiate.  Interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
