Obituary of Secundino N. De Leon
Our beloved Secundino “Dino” Natal De Leon, age 65, resident of Martindale was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July11, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Asencion & Carmen De Leon; brother, Antonio De Leon; sister, Rosemary De Leon; grandmother; Benita De Leon; great great grandnephew, Elijah De Leon.
Dino loved to Bar-B-Que and was well known for his brisket. However, his son's and grandchildren especially loved his BBQ chicken. He catered numerous occasions and never turned anyone down when he was asked to do so. He was the King of the Q. He also loved to dance, garden, and to look after Apa Chon's chickens. He loved sports and enjoyed bowling and playing softball where he played the position of pitcher. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and his beloved New York Yankees. He raised his boys to be fans of the Los Angeles Lakers, the one team they all cheered on together. Dino also has a strong work ethic and was a dedicated employee of Widelite (Phillips Lighting) for 40 years. He was very proud of the work he did, and loved to tell his family which lights he helped make when seeing them at different locations while riding around. He was an amazing Dad, Papa/Grandpa Dino, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. We will miss him dearly, but his legacy will live on through Raymond, Adam, and his four grandchildren.
