Obituary of Gilbert Sierra

Our beloved Gilbert Sierra, age 66, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel & Juanita Sierra; brother, Frank Sierra.

He is survived by his wife of 50yrs, Maria Juarez Sierra; daughters, Mary Ann Sierra, Jo Ann Owens & husband Mark, Barbara S. Castilleja & husband Joe, and Laura Sierra and husband Lee Moreno; brothers, Joe Sierra & wife Cuca, Mayo Sierra & wife Eloisa, Juan Sierra & wife Irene, Arturo Sierra & wife Frances, Joe angel Sierra Jr. & wife Mindy, David Sierra, and Narciso Sierra; sister, Lupe Sierra Hernandez; grandchildren, Mike Moreno, Catherine Moreno, Angie Moreno, Rebecca Owens, Maddison Owens, Jesse Castilleja, Joe Castilleja, Jason Castilleja, John Castilleja, Sydney Sierra-Moreno, Elias Sierra-Moreno, Emma Lee Sierra-Moreno, Makatie Sierra-Moreno, and Evan Sierra-Moreno; 8 great grandchildren; and with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 2:30p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Los Angeles Funeral Home … 300 Cheatham St. … San Marcos, TX.  Continued Visitation will begin from 6:30pm – 9:00pm in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church … 624 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas. with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church…. Rev. Father John Boiko will officiate.  Interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
