Obituary of Mario Enrique Hernandez Sr.
Our beloved Mario Enrique Hernandez Sr. gained his wings on the early morning of October 29, 2018, at the age of 65. Mario was born on January 19, 1953 in San Marcos, Texas. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfater, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Guillermo Sr. & Esperanza Hernandez; and brother, Richard James Hernandez Sr.
Mario was a long-standing memeber of The League of United Latino American Citizens Council #654 (LULAC) and volunteered in numerous causes in the San Marcos area. His life may have seem short, but is was full. And like the wind, we may not see him but his presence will always be felt around us, We thank our Lord for giving him to us for as long as we had him ....."we love you!" Your spirit will always be with us.
May God welcome him home with open arms.
He is survived by his son, Mario Hernandez Jr. & wife Tammy; daughter, Michelle Hernandez & husband Phillip; adopted daughter, Nadine Nesmith; ex- wife’s, Diana Samaniego, and Hortencia Garza; sisters, Mary Esther Escobedo & husband Santiago, and Rose Alva Lopez & husband Ruben; brothers, Guillermo Hernandez Jr. & wife Olga, George Edward Hernandez & wife Natalie, Robert Hernandez & wife Mary Helen, Peter Hernandez & wife Olivia, Emilio Humberto Hernandez & wife Pat, Raymond Charles Hernandez & wife Belinda, and Steven Anthony Hernandez and wife Christine; sister in law, Margaret Hernandez; countless nieces, nephews, grandchildren and many more other loving family and friends.
Visitation will begin 4:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., at Los Angeles Funeral Home … 300 Cheatham St. … San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church … 624 E. Hopkins … San Marcos, Texas … Rev. Father Jairo Lopez will officiate. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Cemetery in San Marcos, Texas.
