Richard Royston Morris was born on August 25, 1962 in Hays County to parents Rev. John E. Morris, Jr. and Mrs. Laura N. Morris of Buda Texas. He graduated from Jack C. Hays Highschool and attended Austin Community College for a time. He was into construction, carpentry, roofing and anything to do with the use of his hands and his gifts.
Richard departed this life on March 13, 2019 at his home in San Marcos, Texas. He leaves to cherish his memory Tonia his loving wife, his mother Laura N. Morris and his father Rev. John E. Morris, Jr., as well as 3 sisters; Deborah Morris-Buda, TX, Brenda Booker (Fred)-Blacklick, Ohio, Jacqueline Sellers (Rodney)-Austin, Tx and 3 brothers; John Morris, III (Lenora)-Buda, TX, Bernard Morris-Buda, TX, James Morris (Kim)-Fridley, MN, and five aunts, 20 plus 1st cousins (his closest friend/cousin was Vastine Hill) nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 with a Church Service starting at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Johns United Baptist Church…103 Bufkin Ln. … Lockhart, Texas. … Rev. Foster Roberts will officiate… Internment will follow in Clearview Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.
