Obituary of Margarita R. Laina

  Margarita Laina 85, passed away on December 8, 2019. She was born on September 13, 1934 in Fentress TX to Maria Zungia. She was married to Lusio Laina for 49 years.  She worked as a seamstress.  She always brought smiles to everyone she met. She had the most beautiful blue/green eyes. She loved to go dancing, knitting, and loved to cook. She loved making quilts for her grandchildren, she also enjoyed spend time with her family during the holidays. She was feisty and loved to talk to you about any and everything.  She will be missed by everyone she touch in her life.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49yrs., Lusio Laina Sr.; mother, Maria O. Zuniga; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.  

She is survived by her daughters, Yolanda Guerrero (Guadalupe), Olivia Hernandez (Peter); sons, Lusio Laina Jr. (Wendy), Roy Laina (Lori); sisters, Annie Cano, Susie Guardiola; brothers, Lupe Zuniga Edward Zuniga, and Gabriel Zuniga; grandchildren, 10; great grandchildren, 20; great, great grandchildren, 2 and with many more loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m.,  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church … 310 Lockhart Street … Martindale, Texas., Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.

Serving as Pall Bearers: Jack Guerrero, Jacob Laina, Jaden Elizondo, Ronny Swindal, Kyle Langhorst, Devin Elizondo, and Roland Laina.
