Our beloved John Daniel Garica, age 71, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving father: Alfred Garcia Sr. John was born and raised in Bay City, Texas Matagorda County. He moved to San Marcos, Texas in his later years to be close to his family. In his early years John loved to spend his time fishing and BBQ with his family. He also enjoyed playing his favorite instrument The Bass Guitar at home and while in a band called “The Knight Riders” back in the 60’s. John was always ready to help his family and friends when he could. He loved saying jokes and making people laugh, always in good spirits. John will be missed! He is survived by his sons, John Garcia Jr., Daniel Garcia, Joel Garcia, and Johnny Garcia; daughters, Sandy Garcia, Cynthia Garcia, Victoria Garcia, and Dora Garcia; mother, Josephine Garcia; brothers, Alfred Garcia Jr., Steve Garcia, Samuel Garcia, and Gilbert Garcia & fiance Celia; sisters, Hope Garcia-Rodriguez & husband Micko, Josie Garcia-Quintana & husband Arthur and Pamela Sue Garcia- Ohlendorf and husband Russell; and with other loving family and friends. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 310 Lockhart Street, Martindale, Texas. Rev.
