Obituary of Guillermo Cervantez Rodriguez Jr.

Please share a memory of Guillermo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Guillermo “Willie” Rodriguez Jr., age 74, resident of Maxwell, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 27, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo Sr. & Jacova Rodriguez; brothers, Felix Rodriguez, Raymond Rodriguez, and Joe Andrew Rodriguez. First and foremost, Guillermo was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was known best as “Willie” and family was the most important thing to him and you could recognize that by all who knew and loved him. He was generous and welcomed you into his life with open arms and without prejudice. He had a knack and passion for carpentry and automotive which you could tell by all the cars parked at his house. Whenever someone needed work done on their house or car, he was the one to see! He was an endless supply of knowledge for so many things, a real renaissance man. Willie was the life of the party and had a kind soul so people would naturally gravitate towards him. Willie loved his family and community. He never lost sight of what was important even when it was physically difficult for him to do so towards the end. He made every effort to be present when celebrating milestones to show support for those he loved dearly. Willie was Olivia’s greatest love, a teacher to his sons, a protector of his daughter, a patriarch to his siblings, a joker with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and the love of our lives! We take comfort in that he no longer lives in pain and know that we will all see him again one day. He is survived by his wife of 53yrs., Olivia J. Rodriguez; sons, Guillermo Rodriguez III, and wife Patricia Martinez, Carlos Rodriguez and wife Jamie, Felix Rodriguez and wife Sally; daughter, Adelita Rodriguez; brothers, Jesse Rodriguez and Johnny Rodriguez; sisters, Gloria Aguilar, Mary Rodriquez, Isabel De La Cruz, Virginia Urrutia, and Angie Narvaiz; grandchildren, 13; great grandchildren, 17; and with other loving family and friends.
