Our beloved Fidel Vasquez Sr., age 76, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Fidel was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40yrs.; Dora L. Vasquez; parents, Augustine & Juanita Vasquez; brothers, Jose Vasquez, Lupe Vasquez, and Augustine Vasquez Jr.; and sister, Adelyda Vasquez. Fidel was a devoted father brother and spouse. Fidel was a man with many hobbies he was a godly man and a devoted Catholic.Fidel Married his sweetheart Dora and they had 7 children. Fidel loved his family and his 24 grandchildren. He retired from Texas State University in 2006 and spent most of his retirement outside landscaping or washing his truck. His love for the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees truly made him a number one fan. Every Sunday you’d catch Fidel jamming his oldies or relaxing outside. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Vasquez, Donna Vasquez (Randy Mendoza), Pamela Rodriguez (Randy) and Tori Vasquez; sons, Guillermo Longoria, Moses Longoria, and Fidel Vasquez Jr.; brothers, Salvador Vasquez and Mike Vasquez; grandchildren, 24; and great grandchildren, 1; and with other loving family and friends.
