Our beloved Anita R. Balles, age 72, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Anita was preceded in death by her loving granddaughter, Reanna Michelle Balles; parents, Raul Sr. & Agustina Rodriguez; brother, Juan Jose Rodriguez; and sister, Maria Candelaria Rodriguez. Anita was known for her kind smile and caring of others. There was never time to relax. She would be in the house cooking, whether it was everyday or during the holidays, mom was in the kitchen! You could smell the coffee and tortillas in the air and make you feel so much at home! When ever Anita had an opportunity, she like to go to dances. The music would make her feel lite on her feet. And let's don't forget the travels to Louisiana to gamble. When she could relax, a cup of coffee and watching the novelas on TV hit the spot. But nothing meant more to her than her family, especially the grandchildren. We thank the Lord for giving her to us for as long as we had her.... "we love you!" Your spirit lives with us and your legacy will always continue. Every breeze we may feel around us, we'll know that you're there! She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Guadalupe T. Balles Jr.; sons, Juan Jose Balles and wife Becky; Roger Balles and wife Selina; and Rene Balles Sr. and wife Audrey; brothers, Isabel Rodriguez, Tereso Rodriguez, Pete Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, and Arnold Rodriguez; grandchildren, Jonathan Jose Alvarez, Joshua Guadalupe Balles, Jacob Matthew Balles, Xavian Balles, Adriana Janet Balles, Rene Josiah Balles Jr., and Alayla Michelle Balles; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:30 p.m., Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, Texas.
