Obituary of Kirk Ehron Berg
Please share a memory of Kirk to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Kirk Ehron Berg, age 44, resident of Buda, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 17, 2020.
Kirk will be missed by all those who loved him. His two little girls, Mikayla and Molly, will miss him the most. It is difficult to explain to a little girl why her daddy is not here anymore. He will be thought of often and his memory will live on through his girls. His pets miss him terribly as well, Oscar and Lucky keep waiting for their daddy to get home.
Kirk was sick for a long time. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2017 and at that time he was already battling an aggressive form of diabetes. Fortunately, he didn’t let his illnesses keep him down, he was a hard worker and always managed to provide for his family. Sadly, his long battle with sickness left his body broken and frail, and his quality of life was severely diminished. Kirk’s long battle with all illness, and the excruciating pain he endured daily, calmly came to an end on August 17, 2020 with his wife, Amy, by his side.
Kirk worked in the medical device industry for decades so naturally he was like a walking medical encyclopedia. He always looked forward to football season. The next time the Saints or Longhorns take the field will be a day he is heavy on our hearts. He used to love to watch the games and also enjoyed cooking some good barbecue on gamedays. He had a great sense of humor, so witty and full of jokes all the time. He was smart as a whip; he knew all kinds of useful (and plenty of useless) information.
While we are all distraught to no longer have Kirk with us, we do take solace in the fact that he is no longer suffering.
Rest peacefully, Kirk, we will love and miss you always.
Kirk is survived by his wife of 12yrs., Amy Berg; daughter, Molly Berg, and Mikayla Berg; mother, Toni Berg; brothers, Kalle Berg and Eric Berg (Judy); and numerous loving family members and friends.
