Obituary of Ruben Medellin Jr.
Please share a memory of Ruben to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Ruben Medellin Jr., age 55, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Medellin Sr.
A beloved Son, brother, uncle, friend and father figure Ruben never had kids but he loved them everywhere he would go. He was blessed to have so many nieces & nephews but one truly stole his heart ❤️ since the day he was born he raised him as his own. Their bond was inseparable and they became as one Rocky Isaiah Flores is his pride and joy. Ruben loved to travel he was always taking trips making time to see the world but he never did it alone he made sure he would make memories with the people he loved most. He would take family, friends, and co-workers on adventure's to places they would remember forever. He always had something up his sleeve, he would act like they would be staying in average hole in the wall kind of place then bam it's a 2 story condo with a view! He was a big joker, he loved fooling people in a unharmful way. He made so many jokes you would literally laugh until you cried. He truly was the life of the party everywhere he went. His love for casinos was like no other the slot machines never stood a chance when he would arrive. His VIP status showed at all the big casino's
with him putting everything he had won the night before right back into the slots the next day. That was his happy place and the place he loved. He loved to visit Colorado he loved the air, the mountains and especially the snow. He was also known locally for his 3 famous restaurants, his carne guisada and pork chop ranchero were his top sellers. Our family loved his picadillo meat with potatoes and last but not least his tortillas. He loved to come over and make these for the kids all the time, he would just arrive on the door step with coke zero in one hand and a pack of flour mix in the other. He was a humble man and a strong believer in god many say he had healing hands, if someone was sick or hurting he would pay a visit, pray and 90% of the time it would work in his favor. His heart was big and he was a giver never a taker he was the one who would arrive on Christmas just like Santa Claus and would bring you everything on your list and not wanting anything in return. He would say the joy of others filled his heart more than any gift he would receive. His love, laughter and jokes will truly be missed. He was a great big part of his family life and we know he is in a better place. He will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. ❤️
May he rise to the heavens above and may he rejoice and be with god.
