Irene Morse Villareal, age 89, passed peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2020. Irene was a proud mother and adored “Mammy” to 10 children, 25 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Arthur Villareal, and her grandson, Casey Babin. She retired from Hays CISD after working with special needs children. Irene gave generously, valued people above possessions always, and often said she was the richest person in the world because God had blessed her with her children and grandchildren. Even with 68 offspring, she could never resist a stray animal, and could often be found with a chicken in her lap, or a parade of cats and dogs following underfoot. She was a fierce fisherwoman and gifted gardener. Irene leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness and love for the Lord, and unfailing adherence to His Word. DUE TO COVID-19 ...
