My grandpa was, in my eyes, a strong man who I loved dearly. I wish I could’ve spent more time with him and I wish my kids got to know him . I know they would have loved him just as much as I did . He will always be remembered and I will always share memories with my family about him. In my heart I believe that he is now with my grandma and they are together holding hands in heaven. As much as it hurts to know he’s gone, I’m happy that he will no longer suffer and be in pain. You will never be forgotten grandpa. ❤️

I have many great memories with my grandpa that i will cherish forever. Some are when he used to pick me and my sister up from school and take us to get happy meals at McDonalds. He’d let us play in the playroom for hours and then the next day we would beg him to take us again and he would. He never failed to make us feel loved just by small actions like that. His laugh will forever be embedded in my memories because it was one of a kind. He had such an amazing heart and was an amazing grandfather. I know he will always be looking down on all of us alongside my grandpa. I’m happy that they can rest in peace together and be our guardian angels. Love aways Cindy ❤️

My dearest grandpa, I’m happy for you because I know you are not in pain and I know you’re with grandma, however my selfishness still wants you here with us. I just want to see you laugh and smile again, but I know you’re doing that up in heaven. You are so strong, and I can not emphasize that enough. All my life I knew you were, and you showed that till the very end. You’d always put others before yourself. You would pray for everyone’s health instead of praying for your own. You made sure to be there not only for your kids, but for your grand kids as well. You’ve been through a lot in your life, and I know that it was hard to express how you felt sometimes, but now you have no worries. I promised you I would take care of mommy, and that’s what I will do. I promise to make you proud and always have you in my heart. I am proud to be your granddaughter. Until we meet again my angel, love always Susy Mendoza

My grand-pa was a tough human being, a strong man, a fighter til the end, a loving man, and someone could you make you smile and laugh at the same time. He loved me and took care of me when I was little and big, so he will always be known to me as a 2nd father. My grandfather’s presence and spirit was a ray of sunshine. He can also be described as affectionate and charismatic. My grand-pa Roberto Mendoza was the the type of person who always thought and prayed for others no matter how many problems he had going on. He always asked and talked about his children, and his grandchildren. He was a champion in this life so I know in his next life he will be also. I will miss you grandpa, but I will also miss your beautiful smile and laugh; that could make anyone smile. I always knew my grand-pa would be straightforward with me and be there for me when I needed him or anyone in his family did. He and grand-ma Ana Mendoza raised 4 incredible kids my mom and aunt, and uncles. Who then raised there children his (14 grandchildren) if any of us contain ounce of my grand-pa’s character we will survive so much like he did. Although my heart will be broken knowing I can’t go to your house and see you, and invite you over for thanksgiving and Christmas. I know deep down in my heart that you and grand-ma are reunited and will be celebrating together in heaven. My two heroes are watching over me forever and that is bittersweet; but you both are happy, healthy, and reunited with your families I know you are in a better place, resting in peace with Grand-ma. I love you grand-pa forever and always, I know I will see you again.
Love, Karina

My father was a hard-working man. He was a good provider and he protected his family. He made sure we had what we needed. My children referred to him as "The Champ", because he was a champion. A true champion. He was brave and strong. He fought hard until the end. He has joined my mother in heaven and although he is not here with us physically I know that he will continue to look out for us and protect us. He will be missed by all of us.I love you Daddy. Until we meet again.

My dad was a very smart and kind hearted man. He also was a hard worker, loving dad and grandfather. He loved talking about all his construction jobs he had. And the funny nick names his friends had. My Dad was a good provider for our family. And he helped me a lot with my children. He always had a big smile. I loved my dad a lot, he was a fighter all the way to the end. I am going to miss him a lot. It makes me happy to know that he is with my Mami now. Love you Dad you will always be in my heart forever. You and mami will be our Ángels that watch over all of us. Good bye until we meet again.
