Obituary of Sara P. Salazar
Please share a memory of Sara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Sara P. Salazar, age 87, resident of Martindale, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Sara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40yrs.: Macario Salazar; parents, Justo & Felecita Perez; sister, Oralia Gonzalez.
Our mother was the kindest, sweetest person you would ever meet. Our mom was so proud that she picked cotton in Indiana to help her family when she was a young girl. She worked tirelessly going to night school to further her education while taking care of us. Her dedication and work ethic is one of the many characteristics she has passed to her children. She loved to laugh and was quick to smile. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She was always there when we needed her. Mom was an active member of her church group, the Archicorfradia from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos for a number of years. She was also an avid power walker and would out-pace many around the track or at the San Marcos Recreation Center.
Her face would light up when she talked about her grandchildren and all of their accomplishments in life. Her tender, kindred spirit and the Christian values she instilled in us will forever be embedded in our hearts. Mom, we miss you so much but we know in our hearts that we will be reunited again someday. Rest well mom and then put on your dancing shoes, Dad has been waiting for his dance partner.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Hartwell & husband Richard, Geralyn Copeland & husband Ron, Sylvia Perales & husband Luis, Mary Alice Warrenburg & husband Scott and Delia Garcia & husband Pat; sons, John Mac Salazar & wife Rita, Albert Salazar & wife Yvette and David Salazar & wife Lya; brother, Lupe Perez; grandchildren, 21: great grandchildren, 3; and great, great grandchildren, 1; and with numerous loving family members and friends.
