Our beloved Stella R. Regalado, age 90, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58yrs.: Tomas Regalado Sr. and parents: Frederico & Anita Reyes. Stella was born on November 10, 1930 in San Antonio Texas. The daughter of Federico and Anita Reyes. She was the youngest of five siblings- Federico Junior, Carmen, Eduardo and Rudolfo Reyes. The family migrated to Los Angeles California in the late 1940's where the family established a home. Stella really enjoyed California as the family thrived together by working and sharing the responsibilities of maintaining their home. The family was very close and enjoyed the Beaches of Southern California on the weekends. The family was also sustained by their faith. The Reyes family were Catholic in the early days but became Jehovah's Witnesses. The JW congregation gave the family a rich and supportive extended family from which much joy and love was shared. An extended family of sorts. Stella later met and married Tomas Regalado. A native Texan from El Paso who later migrated to California by way of the US Navy. Los Angeles is ultimately where they met and combined family and had children. Stella and Tomas have two sons- Esteban and Tomas Jr. Both were raised by Stella and Tomas in Los Angeles and Ventura California. Stella, being raised with much love and compassion, proved to be an outstanding mother. She always displayed compassion, kindness, and a joyful spirit with utmost regard for her children. Stella was most proud of being a nurturing mother mirroring the qualities of her mothers’ example. Her devoted, unwavering love, and kindness has been appreciated by her friends and associations over the years and certainly by her sons. The family moved back to Texas in the late 1970's. At this time, Stella was very supportive of her sons education. She supported their high school and college days by creating a nurturing and loving environment keen on educational success (something she never had the opportunity to do given the circumstances of her early years). Stella most enjoyed the arrival of her granddaughter Nina in 1999. Her siblings only had two children, Carmen and David, so having another family member added was a great blessing. The most important thing in her life has always been her family. Stella passes away December 27, 2020 at 90 years of age. She is survived by her sons Esteban and Tomas Jr. as well as her granddaughter Nina and niece Carmen. She will be missed. Private Memorial Services will be celebrated at a later date.
