Our beloved Apolonio Cruz, age 94, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Apolonio was preceded in death by his loving wife: Esperanza Cruz: Parents: Cleofas and Constancia Cruz: Brothers: Jesus and Alejandro Cruz: Sisters: Maria Cruz, Cresenciana Zuniga and Petra Castro plus several nieces and nephews.
Apolonio (Polo/Tio Polo) was a wonderful man, a man of strong faith that enjoyed praying the rosary, and enjoyed family get togethers, with a strong work ethic. He was Loved and Respected by everyone that knew him. He will be deeply missed but will live forever in our hearts and memories because of the Love that everyone had for him. Our Entire Family feels that he was a blessing in all of our life’s and we Thank God that he lived 94 years.
He is survived by his son, Robert Cruz (Anita Tovar): 4 Grandchildren, Jesse Hernandez (Rebecca), Kristy Patteson (Dustin), Joshua Tovar, Doug Cruz: 9 Great Grandchildren and numerous loving family members and friends.
DUE TO COVID-19 ... CERTAIN RULES STILL APPLY … (MASK & GLOVES WILL BE ENFORCED!!) Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 4, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church … 310 Lockhart St. … Martindale, TX. Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate. Interment will follow at JFK Cemetery in Martindale, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers: Alex Cruz III, Doug Cruz, Jonathon Garcia, Raul Gomez, Elijah Hernandez and Caleb Villarreal.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers: Jesse Cruz and Jose Luis Perez.
