Our beloved Amanda Michelle Caballero, age 39, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Santos L Mendez. Amanda was a dedicated mother first and foremost, her children made up the entirety of her world. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. A fierce Mama Bear, her tenacity and love for her children were the driving force behind her tireless work ethic and commitment to always protect and provide for her children. Known for her vibrant "mermaid hair" Amanda loved spending time at the beach or on the shores of a lake or river. She lived life to the fullest, but also relished in it's small simple pleasures. She enjoyed reading poetry, dancing, cookouts with her loved ones, and a good cup of coffee. Her vivacious personality and laughter were contagious. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went. Anyone who ever had the privilege of encountering Amanda, has forever had their heart and life touched by a truly unique and kind soul, and the evidence of her impact will never be forgotten. Her sweet smile and memories will live with us forever. Rest In Peace Amanda, our beautiful mermaid, warrior goddess, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. You will be truly missed. She is survived by her daughters: Samantha Alvarez (husband-Sebastian) and Naomi Garcia; sons, Dominic Garcia and Joshua Garcia; mother: Myra Mendez (Step father-Arnulfo); brothers: George Caballero, Ryan Caballero and Justin Caballero; maternal grandmother: Rachel Mendez; grandchild: Caspian Alvarez; as well as, many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021 with a Chapel Service beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas.
