Benjamin Nevarez Falcon, age 85, of Kyle, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on May 30, 1935, in Brackettville, Texas to Jose and Romana (Nevarez) Falcon. Benjamin was happily married to the love of his life, Pauline Martinez Falcon, for 66 years. He was affectionately known as “Papo” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was deeply enamored with his family and created endearing nicknames for his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed hosting large family gatherings, singing, and playing his guitar. Benjamin was an old-fashioned cowboy and spent most of his free time outdoors. He loved to sit on his front porch and listen to music. He was a truck driver, skilled carpenter, wonderful pit master, and a teacher of life whose warm smile filled a room. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. His family will carry his legacy in their hearts forever.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents: Jose Sr. & Romana Falcon; brothers: Carlos Falcon, Eraclio Falcon, Estevan Falcon and Tomas Falcon; and sister: Estella Guajardo.
Benjamin is survived by his wife Pauline (Martinez) Falcon; their four children, Francisco Falcon, Sr. (Alicia), Rosalinda DeLeon (Alejandro, Sr.), Esther Serna (Richard), and Federico Falcon (Angie); 11 grandchildren, Francisco Falcon, Jr. (Christina), Christina Cantu (Jeremy), Lisa Mathews, Alejandro DeLeon, Jr. (Emily), Orlando DeLeon, Benjamin Rodriguez (Roxanne), Ciera Serna, Andrew Falcon (Victoria), Jared Serna, Lisandro DeLeon, and Ashlyn Falcon; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Elida Falcon; and brothers, Ignacio Falcon, Jose Falcon, Jr., Evangelina Saucedo, and Jesse Falcon, Sr. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Falcon; sister, Estella Guajardo; and brothers, Carlos Falcon, Eraclio Falcon, Tomas Falcon, and Estevan Falcon.
DUE TO COVID-19 ... CERTAIN RULES STILL APPLY … (MASK WILL BE ENFORCED!!) Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church ,.. 801 N. Burleson ... Kyle, Texas. Interment will follow at Kyle Cemetery, Kyle, Texas.
Serving as Pall Bearers: Francisco Falcon Jr., Benjamin Falcon-Rodriguez, Jared Serna, Orlando DeLeon, Lisandro DeLeon and Andrew Falcon.
Servng as Honorary Pall Bearers: Alejandro DeLeon Jr.
