There are very few people in my life that changed the way I think. I can count them on two hands after my sixty eight years. Angelo was one of them. He was a kind and caring person, with the underlying attitude of a warrior. Humor was the catalyst though. So many times when we were too hot from weather to think, Angelo would have us all laughing. It may have been a task that none of us wanted to be doing, but when we were tired, worn out, overheated, he seemed to make work a brighter place for all of us. Laughing our guts out while mixing concrete, or carrying the heaviest of beams. We hadn’t known Angelo too long, before we realized that the way he perceived challenges and problems was unique. He seemed to set aside the things that distract us, and when we were “well, what are going to do now”, he often came up with a solution. He became a part of our problem solving team. He was very intelligent, without the burden of a formal education, which sometimes gets in our way. I know he is proud of his children that are all continuing to pursue education, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. The gifts that he left in central Texas were left everywhere in quiet and subtle places. Beautiful masonry work, rock solid restored antiques, some of which we have in our own home, and the ability to leave a job site perfectly clean, when none of the rest of us did it that well. Angelo was a giant of a man, with a giant heart. I learned a lot. I miss you man. Shae Kibby
