Obituary of Guadalupe P. Mendoza

Guadalupe P. Mendoza, surrounded by her family, was released from her earthly bonds into the Heavens, to be with our Heavenly Father on May 24, 2017 at the age of 82 yrs. Born December 12, 1934 in San Marcos, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her Loving parents: Santos and Ascencion Prado, grandson: Ronnie Mendoza, great grandchild: Angel Rangel, and brothers: Asencion Prado  Sr., Saturnino Prado, Adolfo Prado Sr. and Gilbert Prado  Sr..

 Guadalupe was known for her kind smile and with an open heart to everyone. She always was active with her church at Sinai Pentecostal Church. Lupes' cooking was well known, including her Thanksgiving dressing. She made the holidays feel so warm, comfortable, and festive. We can't forget her "novelas" , that's the time she relaxed. Her faith kept her strength when she was going through her treatments. Even when Guadalupe was diagnose with the cancer, her faith proved to be stronger ...surpassing the time given to her.  Nothing meant more to her than her family, especially her grandchildren great, and great great grandchild. We thank the Lord for giving her to us for as long as we had her...... "we love you! "  Your spirit lives with us and your legacy will always continue with us.


Her life continues through her loving husband of 63 years: Domingo L. Mendoza Sr.;daughter: Nelda Mendoza ( Dora Natal), sons: Domingo Mendoza  Jr.( Susie), Victor Mendoza  Sr. (Gracie), Roy Mendoza  Sr.( Nelda), brothers: Roque Prado  Sr., Anastacio Prado, sisters: Anastacia Perez and Martha Perez, grandchildren: Domingo III, Eric, Isaac, Karen, Vic, Lisa, Lori, Josh, and Autumn,  great grandchildren: Matthew, Jacob, Lucas, Zerick, Zander, Mitchell, Rainey, Mia, Arianna, Ivan, Trey, Illianna, Marcos, Josiah, Jaden, Jordan, Diego, and Anellie, great great grandchild: Brody and with numerous neices & nephews.

Visitation will begin on Friday/ May 26th/ 3:00pm-9:00 pm at Los Angeles Funeral Home.   Prayer Services will be Friday evening / 7:00 pm at the Los Angeles Funeral Chapel. Church Sevices will be at 10:00 am at Sinai Pentecostal Church on 208 Laredo St....  Rev. Samuel Montoya will officiate.  burial will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Natal  Jr., Domingo Mendoza  III, Victor Mendoza  Jr., Eric Mendoza, Isacc Mendoza, and Josh Mendoza.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Trey Mendoza and Josiah Mendoza.

The Family would like to thank all her brothers and sisters for their continued support and presence during her illness. A special thank you to her sister-in law, Mary Z. Prado, for stepping in as her caretaker. Our deepest gratitude to Heart to Heart Hopice and Texas Oncology of Austin for the warmth and care during the most difficult times.
