I reached out to John this spring after seeing a post with him and our old HS buddies at Pourhouse. I had reached our for my own selfish reasons I missed those guys and wanted to see them all again. I knew I could count on John since I don't have anyone contact info and John did.
We set up a call and it was like we had never lost touch. That's the sign of true friendship, when you pick up from last time you talked. We laughed a bunch. He told I was his first friend he made when he moved to NB. We went way back and John and also loved to give each other a hard time. Always a welcoming smile and a brother ready to laugh. He loved to rock out so run into him at shows in Austin and SA backroom, sneakers.
All the guys met up at Krauses this summer had some laughs and beers. Great time we shared together. Little did we know it's last time we’d all see him. It's God and John brought us all together that last time.
Great friendships are timeless as the smiles and laughter once shared between them!!
I know your giving Big J a hard time on Who’s best rock band of the 80’s over strong cup of Jesus Java. Your home buddy! We’ll miss you down here.
