Please share a memory of Beatrice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With profound sadness the Ortiz and Delgado family announce the passing of Beatrice “Bea” Delgado on December 22, 2021 at her home in Kyle, Texas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Rebecca “Becky” Castillo; parents: Acardio and Bibiana Ortiz; brother Domingo Ortiz and sister: Trinidad Collazo. She was born on August 6, 1939 to Acardio and Bibiana Ortiz. She met her husband Miguel Delgado while at school, they eloped and married in West Texas. Ten years and two kids later, they moved back to Kyle making it their forever home where they were blessed with four additional children. She worked and retired from Hays CISD as a custodian of 25 years. After her retirement, she devoted her time to her husband and family. She was always willing to feed a hot meal to anyone that walked through her door. Her smile and laughter were contagious and provided comfort. She loved to spend time with her family, tend to her plants, go fishing in Port Aransas and watch football-specifically, her two favorite teams, Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns. Christmas was her favorite holiday and a certain visible light would shine within her during this time. She loved to decorate every inch of her house with Christmas towns, garland and lights. Her house was filled with so much Christmas spirit and joy. Grandma Bea, we will cherish our precious memories with you and you will remain in our hearts forever. Your love, legacy, and joyful spirit will continue to serve as our guide. We love you and will miss you! Our grandmother walked by faith and we thank the Lord for giving her to us for as long as we had her. Psalm 23: The lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters; he restores my soul. he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. She is survived by her husband of 69years: Miguel Delgado; sons Michael Delgado (Katrina), Ricardo Delgado (Debbie) and Gilbert Delgado (Jody); daughters: Linda Garza (David) and Susie Adams (Joe Frank); brother Tomas Ortiz; sister: Dominga Guerra; 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; and with other family members and friends.
