Obituary of Roberto Rodriguez Sr.

Roberto Rodriguez  Sr. was called to his eternal rest and entered into the world of our Holy Father on June 16, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Born October 15, 1957 in Fentress, Texas, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents: Angel and Victoria Rodriguez and sisters: Celia R. Gutierrez & Ramona R. Urrutia.

Roberto is  survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Diana Tristan Rodriguez, sons: Robert Rodriguez  Jr.(Ashley Trinidad), Vincent James Rodriguez, daughter: Monica Rodriguez (Kevin Perez), brother: Joe Rodriguez, sisters: Connie Gonzalez, Angie Rangel, Janie Gonzalez, Julia Gallegos, and grandchildren: Nevaeh, Laila, & Kimberly Rodriguez, Aubrey and Brayden Perez, with numerous nieces and nephews.

 Roberto  Sr. was employed by the San Marcos CISD for over 10 years, where  he became an avid sports fan of the SMHS Rattlers. He also was an employee of the VF Factory at the Outlet Mall for over 9 years. Being a fan of the Rattlers, Roberto was a sports fan of all college and professional teams. But most of all, was his Dallas Cowboys. They were the top in his book!

 When it came to his wife, kids, grandchildren, and family, they were  number one in his life! Roberto had a great impact on the community and people he worked with. We will continue the legacy that you set. We'll miss your enthusiasm when Dallas plays,knowing that you're watching them ... and when we close our eyes, we'll see you and your smile. Love is in our hearts because you put it there. 

 Visitation will begin Tuesday ... June 20th ... 5:00 pm at the Los Angeles Funeral Home ... 300 Cheatham St. ... San Marcos,Texas . Recitation of Rosary will be at 7:30 pm at the Los Angeles Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday Morning ... 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John Boiko will officiate. Burial interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas
