Zolia G. Polanco, age 80, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 19, 2022. Zoila was born on May 17, 1941, in Martindale, Texas to parents Pablo and Bicenta Gauna. She graduated from San Marcos High School and went on to attend Nixon Clay College. She worked as a hairdresser for 35 years. She is preceded in death by her parents. Zoila is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jorge Polanco; daughters Brenda Ann Polanco and Jeanette Polanco Torres (husband Rudy Torres), and son Edgar Rolando Polanco (wife Celeste Aguilar Polanco); grandchildren Ashley Marie Torres, Alyssa Nicole Martinez, Rudy Jay Torres, Jory Matthew Martinez, Bianca Ysenia Martinez, Abigail Elena Polanco, and Victor Evan Polanco; great-granddaughter Brinley Ryan Garcia; sister Yolanda Sierra and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Zoila loved watching game shows; the Price is Right was her favorite. She lived her dream when the Price is Right Live came to Cedar Park and she was the first one called up on stage. Zoila also enjoyed doing word find puzzles. She loved going to casinos and always tucked away what she won without telling anyone the amount. Her all-day shopping trips with her sister and cousins were epic. She also enjoyed the occasional piña colada, which caused her to giggle and brighten up any dinner, party, or get-together.
