Please share a memory of Norma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Norma Baez, age 66, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Norma is preceded in death by her parents: Jovencio & Matilde Camacho; sister: Mary Serna; brothers: Bobby Camacho, Jovencio Camacho and Gilbert Camacho. Norma was born in San Marcos, Texas and was the second to last born out of her siblings. She was a devoted wife to her husband Angel and a loving mother to her 3 children Angel, Evette, and Omar. Norma had a heart of gold and always welcomed everyone with open arms. She could not turn anyone away because of her willingness to help others. She wanted everyone to feel value in their lives. Norma had a love for music. She would play Oldies but Goodies and could listen to it all day. Norma also could watch her shows and movies all day and be very content. Yet, she had a love that powered over all of her hobbies and activities, which was her family. The love she had for them was unconditional. Especially when her grandkids and great grandkids were born. If you were not part of the family, she definitely made sure that you felt welcomed. Her presence in the family brought warmth and laughter. The love she shared with the family never went unnoticed. Our mother is the true definition of a miracle and a fighter. She overcame so many boundaries and obstacles with the power of faith and love. Now, our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and hero resides in the heavens up above. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be; so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me”. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best She is survived by her husband of 48yrs.: Angel Baez; sons: Angel Baez (Maria) and Omar Baez (Briana); daughter: Evette Hernandez (Guillermo III); brothers: Michael Camacho and Richard Camacho (Emma); sisters: Eloisa Morin, Dora Mendez (Joe) and Martha Villarreal; grandchildren: Richard Hernandez, Guillermo Hernandez IV, Esperanza Hernandez, Diego Bautista-Baez, Juliana Baez and Jazmine Baez; great grandchildren: Nevaeh Vela-Hernandez and Guillermo Thomas Hernandez V; and with other family members and friends.
