Obituary of David Perez Cordero
Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved David Perez Cordero, age 65, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
David is preceded in death by his parents: Guillermo Sr. & Maxsima Cordero; brother: Santiago “Jimmy” Cordero and Guillermo "Willie" Cordero Jr. and sister: Juanita Serrano.
David was born in Fentress, Texas and resided in San Marcos. He worked for Widelite and retired in 2020. He was a devoted father to his daughter Christina and son Christopher and Grandfather to his 3 granddaughters; Claire, Clarissa and Claudia. He was known to be the life of the party with a bud light in one hand and helping others with the other. He was considered everyone's 'favorite uncle'. Everywhere he went in San Marcos, someone would recognize him and would chat with them. David enjoyed shopping very much. Any deal he could find he was happy and we would hear all about it. The smallest things made him happy. He spent most of his time with this granddaughters. They were the light of his eye. He made sure to speak to his daughter and son everyday. Anyone that passed by his house knew they'd find him sitting on the porch drinking a beer listening to Tejano music or washing/cleaning all his vehicles. Anyone that called him with a favor he never said no and was willing to help any way he could. If he found out any of his family or friends were ill he would call or visit them right away to see how they were and if they needed anything. David was a one of a kind human being with the best personality and smile that everyone enjoyed being around. Never a dull moment with him. He had everyone always laughing.
He is survived by his wife: Josie Cordero; son: Christopher Cordero; daughter: Christina Cordero; brother: Roy Cordero; grandchildren: 3; and with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
