Obituary of Ruben Zapata Medellin Sr.

Our beloved Ruben Zapata Medellin Sr., age 71, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 26, 2016.

Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Jose & Rosalia Medellin; sister, Rosa Torres.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52yrs.: Mary Rodriguez Medellin; sons, Ray Medellin(Dolores) and Ruben Medellin Jr.; daughters, Denise Medellin Flores(Rocky) and Laura Medellin; brother, Jose Medellin (Mary); sister, Flora Medellin Aguilar; and grandchildren, Jonathan Garcia (Brittney), Jasmine Flores, Isaiah Flores, Katelyn Flores, Derek Machado, Blanca Cortez, Curtis Garcia Jr., Laura Garcia, Amber Garcia, and Annjenette Garcia, great grandchildren, Nathan Garcia and Isaac Machado and with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:30pm, Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday Morning, March 4, 2016 at 10:00am at St. John Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins, San Marco, Texas, Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
