Juan David Marmolejo, 65, of San Marcos, Texas succumbed to on going medical issues in the comfort of his home surrounded by his entire family on August 20, 2023. David is preceded in death by his parents: Marcelino & Maria Marmolejo; brothers: Marcelino Marmolejo Jr. and Jose Luis Marmolejo; sister: Isabela M. Torres; nephews: John Anthony Marmolejo & Stephen Marcelino Marmolejo and niece: Juanita Marmolejo. Juan loved his Dallas Cowboys and Boston Celtics, but especially loved Softball and the numerous hours and hundreds of miles driven with his granddaughter (Stephanie D. Marmolejo). He worked as a Welder for 25 years, but was forced to give up his career due to medical issues. He spent his free time visiting his son all over the country where he loved spending time with his 3 granddaughters. You could also find him any weekend at the flea market with his daughter’s (Erica and Rosalinda) or watching his grandson (Matthew) play baseball with his daughter Maria Juana. In the final months of life, Juan would love reminiscing about his brother’s and sister’s and especially his mother and father who he loved deeply. A special thank you to Lucia Marmolejo (sister) and Erica Moreno (daughter) who dedicated and sacrificed everything to ensure he was always looked after and taken care of. The family would also like to extend their gratitude towards everyone who made themselves available in his final days. Juan is survived by his son Juan David Marmolejo Jr and his 3 daughters Erica Moreno, Maria Juana Marmolejo, and Rosalinda Marmolejo ; brothers: Juan Marmolejo, Pedro Marmolejo and Alfredo Marmolejo; sisters: Lucia Marmolejo, Alicia Lopez, Maria Estella Tijerina and Velia Guadalupe Hernandez; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Juan was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend to many.
