Please share a memory of Prudencio to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Prudencio Delgado, beloved as “Pule”, passed away at his home in Reedville, Texas on September 10, 2023, surrounded by his family. Pule was born in Martindale, Texas on April 28, 1934, to Nazario and Petra Delgado. He was the second to the youngest of eleven brothers and sisters. Pule was a stranger to none. He made friends easily with his charisma, gentle heart, and subtle humor. He could make you laugh, until you cried and entertain you by yodeling like no other, while showing you his latest magic tricks. He loved listening to music and playing his guitar, harmonica and accordion. Most of his time was spent with family and friends always having a good time. If there was a dance floor, he was on it. Pule was a lifelong parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Martindale, Texas. He was employed at Austin Road for several years and retired from Maxwell Hanger Manufacturing. Once he retired, he took up pecan picking, shelling, and selling to keep busy. Pule had many medical “close calls” throughout his life and his strength and faith always pulled him through, giving us many blessed years with him. The latter part of his life consisted of caring for his daughter and battling through his ailments. Pule was the strongest man, up until the end. He will be missed more than words can express. Pule is preceded in death by his daughter Diana, parents, Mr. & Mrs. Nazario Delgado, brothers Vicente Sr., Pedro, Bernardino, Jose, Macario and sisters Francisca, Rosa, Faustina and Simona. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lina, son Rudy Delgado (Linda), daughters, Ofelia Padilla (Randy), Helen Cervantez (Jerry), Alice Delgado Bermea. Including his grandsons, Jacob Delgado & Jerry Lee Cervantez, granddaughters, Robin Nunez (Roland), Amanda DelCueto (Albert), Tiffany Gallegos (Chris), Audrie Hart (Earl), Angelica Perez (Zach) and Dazrine Pruitt. Along with fourteen great grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren. He has one surviving sister, Lupana Molina and numerous nieces and nephews.
