Obituary of Gloria H Villanueva

Our beloved Gloria H. Villanueva surrounded by her family was received into the hands of  our Heavenly Father on  Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the young age of 57, She was born on March 2, 1960 in San Marcos, Texas.  She was a beloved wife, mother daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.  Gloria is preceded in death by her loving daughter: Barbara “Barbie” V. Martinez and brother, Rufus "Cuco" Hernandez.

Gloria was known for her kind smile that would light up the room and feed the soul at Janie's Gorditas where she worked along side her family.  Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she made  people feel special.  She was an active member of her church Immaculate Heart of Mary in Martindale where she was the past president of the Archicofradia organization.  When it came time to relax she loved to listen to music and attended many concerts with her husband, but nothing meant more to her than her family, especially the grandchildren.  We thank the Lord for giving her to us for as long as we had her..."we love you!" Her legacy and spirit will always continue through us, we will miss you, but will never be forgotten in our hearts.

Her life continue through her husband of 38yrs.: Eddie Villanueva; son, Eddie Villanueva Jr.; daughters, Belinda Bourne and Valerie Villanueva; parents, Pablo & Janie Hernandez; sisters, Diana H. Rodriguez (Raul), Vera H. Tovar, and Maria Dolores Lopez, brothers, Paul Hernandez Jr. and Miguel Hernandez; grandchildren: Ezequiel “Zeke'ie” Martinez Jr., Daniella Martinez, Adian Zulaica, Jayda De Leon, Sarah De Leon, Jeffrey Rosales, and Benjamin “Benny” Bourne; uncles, aunts, with numerous, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St. with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00p at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 312 Lockhart St.. in Martindale, Texas. Visitation: July 31, 2017 from 8:30am-10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary with  Mass of Christian Burial  held at 10:00am.   Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.  Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate.

Pallbearers: Ezequiel Martinez Jr. Adian Zulaica, Jeffrey Rosales, John Paul Lopez, Jesse Ponce and Alex Torres.
