Our Lord has truly blessed us with the life of Julia Quintero, who passed away April 11, 2024 at the age of 91. Julia was born on January 7, 1933 in Martindale, Texas to Pedro & Elisa Reyes.
With a spirit of compassion she left this world to join her late husband: Enrique Quintero Sr.; son: Enrique Quintero Jr.; great granddaughters: Lisa Marie Adams and Lisa Michele Adams; parents: Pedro & Elisa Reyes; sisters: Janie Lozano, Lupe Lopez, Gloria Garza, Aurora Reyes and Lupita Reyes; brothers: Felix Reyes, and Pedro Reyes Jr.; great grandsons: Arnaldo David Castillo and Benjamin William Eddleman.
Our beloved Julia Quintero was a sweet and humble woman. She loved and cared for her family and neighbors. Loved being part of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and neighbors children’s lives. Loved caring and preparing their favorite food for them. She also had various nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for. Julia loved to be outside raking leaves, watering her plants or just enjoying the day sitting outside. She loved talking to her neighbors and enjoyed being with family when celebrating various occasions. Julia always believed in prayer, praying every day for friends and family and helping with church functions. She will be missed and loved.
Julia leaves behind her adoring family. Her daughters: Sulema Adams (David) and Julie Salas; granddaughters: Jodie Adams Garcia (Peter John), Tyra Lynn Roberman (Zach); grandsons: Henry Quintero III and Gus Villanueva (Stephanie); great granddaughters: Alexandra Villanueva, Trinity Castillo and Emy Roberman; great grandson: Koa Henry Roberman’ and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., with words of remembrance beginning at 9:00am …Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Los Angeles Funeral Home … 300 Cheatham St. … San Marcos, Texas … Followed with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church ... 426 E. Hopkins ... San Marcos, Texas ... Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers: Henry Quintero III, Gus Villanueva, Peter John Garcia, Michael Alvarez, Antonio Gabriel Lara and Jeremiah De La Cruz..
