Obituary of Curtis Garcia

Our beloved Curtis Garcia, age 81, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 18, 2017.

Curtis was preceded in death by his loving parents: Felix & Santos Garcia; brothers, Felix Garcia, Willie Garcia, & David Garcia; and sister, Margarita Garcia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57yrs., Antonia Garcia; son, Curtis Robert Garcia (Valeria); daughters, Salena Garcia Ybarra (Johnny), Teresa Garcia Yowell (Treg), and Sandra Garcia Vasquez (Richard); brothers, Roy Garcia, Henry Garcia, and Fred Garcia; sisters, Gloria Sellars, Judy Esquivel, Matilde Juarez, and Linda Khan; grandchildren, John Henry Ybarra (Kelsey), Alexandra Renee Garcia, Faith Meredith Vasquez, Lucas Cage Garcia, Grace Adaneli Garcia, Jack Richard Vasquez, and Mia Simone Garcia; great grandchildren, Karissa Faith Ybarra, Caleb John Ybarra, and Leah Rose Ybarra; and with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on 624 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church. ... Rev. Father Jairo Lopez will officiate..  Interment will follow with full Military Honors at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in, Martindale, Texas.
