Obituary of Linda Rangel Calvin

Our beloved Linda Rangel Calvin, resident of Dallas, TX. was received into the hands of our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the age of 53, Born August 28, 1964, in San Marcos, Texas, She was a beloved companion, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her brother: Jose (Joe) Rangel; maternal grandparents, Casimiro & Sipriana Rodriguez; paternal grandparents, Pablo & Francisca Rangel.

Linda was a caring, giving & loving person who always thought of others before her. When she found time to relax she enjoyed watching her favorite television show “Little House on the Prairie” But nothing meant more to her than her family, especially the nieces and nephews.  We thank the Lord for giving her to us for as long as we had her …. “we love you!” Your spirit will continue in us and know that you will be missed dearly.

Her life continues through her special companion of 15yrs, Eric Frost; daughter, Naomi Calvin (Vee Jones) sons, Reginald “Reggie” Calvin (Ashley Weiler) Jermaine Calvin (Chris Collins), and Levell Miller; parents, Daniel  & Maria Rangel; brothers, Andrew Rangel (Yvette) and David Rangel; sisters, Terry Garcia (Joe Louis), Alice Rangel, and Anita Childers (Daniel); nephews, Joshua Olmos, Mathew Hernandez, Joseph Garcia, Andrew "AJ" Rangel Jr., and John Michael Reyna; nieces, Marissa Garcia, Madison Hernandez, Anissa Reyna, and Daniella Gonzalez; great nephew, Joseph "JD" Garcia Jr.; great niece, Audelina De Los Santos; and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., at the Los Angeles Funeral Home on 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church….624 E. Hopkins St. San Marcos, Texas.  Rev. Father Brion Zarsky will officiate.  Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in, Martindale, Texas.
